The Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS) allows students to register digitally for admission to affiliated colleges across Gujarat. Here’s how to complete the process:
- Visit the GCAS Portal
- Go to https://gcas.gujgov.edu.in or scan the QR code.
- Click on “Apply Now” to start the registration.
- Choose the Program Type
- Select Undergraduate if applying for UG courses, or Postgraduate for PG courses.
- Enter Your Academic Details
- Type your name as it appears on your SSC/HSC marksheet.
- Enter your APAAR ID (or ABC ID, if applicable).
- Select the Category
- Choose your category as mentioned on the official certificate. If not applicable, select “General.”
- Enter Your Date of Birth
- Input your date of birth in the DD/MM/YYYY format as per your SSC marksheet.
- Enter Email and Mobile Number
- Provide your active email ID and mobile number, and click “Get OTP.”
- Verify OTP
- Enter the OTP sent to your email and mobile number to proceed.
- Create a Username and Password
- The GCAS system will generate a username and password using your registered email and mobile number.
- View the Merit List
- After verification, the GCAS system will publish a merit list. Visit the verification center to submit required documents.
- Confirm Admission
- Ensure to report to the college/university within the specified time to finalize admission.
